Combo PWAS (Tag & Non-Tag)

Combo proximity warning and alert system is an integrated solution of both Tag and Non-Tag PWAS system. It provides more flexibility, and quick and easy adaptation for various sites safety requirements. Combo PWAS offers Vehicle To individual & Vehicle To Vehicle accident prevention system. It also can sense any object to avoid back over accidents. The system features event and hazard recording which can help during risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Sensing any objects crossing the detection zone
  • Detections of stationary and moving objects
  • Providing visual and audible warnings0
  • 360 degree detection area coverage
  • Extra 180 degree detection area coverage (for non tag holders and objects)
  • Getting rid of blind spot area
  • Suitable for any type of machinery
  • User defined detection range (7m to 15m)
  • Event and hazard reporting
PWAS Control Unit
The PWAS control unit is placed next to the heavy equipment operator inside the vehicle. When any personnel or object is detected, the control unit engages an alarm to warn the vehicle operator that a person or an object is approaching the hazard area. The unit also offers event and hazard recording which is important for risk assessment of the worksite.

PWAS Sensor
The PWAS Sensor is installed in the rear side of the vehicle. It will create a 180 degree detection zone and recognize any personnel or objects. The default detection range is seven meters, and can be expanded as per site’s requirements.

PWAS Tag
The PWAS control unit is placed next to the operator inside the vehicle. When the tag is detected, the control unit issues an alarm to warn the operator of the heavy equipment that a person wearing a tag is approaching the hazard area. The antenna, which is built-in inside the control unit, creates a 360 degree detection zone around the vehicle and will recognize PWAS tags up to fifteen meters. PWAS Control Unit also provides the ability for event and hazard recording. This feature will support the risk assessment process, and improve the safety in workplace.
Detection Zone
The detection zone is a pre-defined hazard area around the machinery. The PWAS Control Unit can, by default, detect tags within 7-15 meters. The detection zone can be expanded more than that, or even reduced according to site safety requirements. If within the detection zone, the system will detect +50 tags simultaneously.
PWAS Camera & Monitor
When PWAS Camera & Monitor are integrated with the Tag-Based system, this will provide greater confidence for the vehicle operators by making them aware of the personnel and property in the machinery blind zone. Cameras are mounted in the front and rear of the machinery, while the monitor is placed in the cab to provide clear vision and visual warnings. Extra cameras can be installed as well according to the site’s requirements.
