Non-Tag Based PWAS

Back over is one of the common struck-by hazards in the worksite. The Non-Tag PWAS system helps to reduce the back over accidents due to vehicle moving in reverse. Non-tag proximity warning system will detect all unremarkable personnel and objects even if they don’t wear the tags.

  • Sensing any objects crossing the detection zone
  • Providing visual and audible warnings
  • 180 Degree detection area coverage
  • Getting rid of blind spot area
  • Suitable for any type of machinery
  • User defined detection range (7m to 15m)
  • Event and hazard reporting
PWAS Control Unit
The PWAS control unit is placed next to the heavy equipment operator inside the vehicle. When any personnel or object is detected, the control unit engages an alarm to warn the vehicle operator that a person or an object is approaching the hazard area. The unit also offers event and hazard recording which is important for risk assessment of the worksite.

PWAS Sensor
The PWAS Sensor is installed in the rear side of the vehicle. It will create a 180 degree detection zone and recognize any personnel or objects. The default detection range is seven meters, and can be expanded as per site’s requirements.

Detection Zone
Back over accidents are usually results of the operator having limited visibility. The aim of the detection zone is to deal with this challenge by setting a pre-defined hazard area in which any object can be sensed when it crosses that area. The default detection zone is formed from an area of 180 degree and 7m range. The area can be expanded according to site safety requirements.
PWAS Camera & Monitor
When PWAS Camera & Monitor are integrated with the Tag-Based system, this will provide greater confidence for the vehicle operators by making them aware of the personnel and property in the machinery blind zone. Cameras are mounted in the front and rear of the machinery, while the monitor is placed in the cab to provide clear vision and visual warnings. Extra cameras can be installed as well according to the site’s requirements.
