Tag-Based PWAS

Implementing the proper safety system to the vehicle, according to the site-specific needs, is an essential factor to enhance worksite safety. PWAS system for heavy equipment that is based on tag is a Vehicle To individual & Vehicle To Vehicle proximity warning and alert solution, designed for accident prevention between unremarkable personnel and machineries working in the worksite close to each other.
  • Detections of stationary and moving objects
  • Providing visual and audible warnings
  • 360 Degree detection area coverage
  • Getting rid of blind spot areas
  • Suitable for any type of machinery
  • User defined detection range (7m to 15m)
  • Event and hazard reporting
PWAS Control Unit
The PWAS control unit is placed next to the operator inside the vehicle. When the tag is detected, the control unit issues an alarm to warn the operator of the heavy equipment that a person wearing a tag is approaching the hazard area. The antenna, which is built-in inside the control unit, creates a 360 degree detection zone around the vehicle and will recognize PWAS tags up to fifteen meters. PWAS Control Unit also provides the ability for event and hazard recording. This feature will support the risk assessment process, and improve the safety in workplace.

Detection Zone
The detection zone is a pre-defined hazard area around the machinery. The PWAS Control Unit can, by default, detect tags within 7-15 meters. The detection zone can be expanded more than that, or even reduced according to site safety requirements. If within the detection zone, the system will detect +50 tags simultaneously.
PWAS Camera & Monitor
When PWAS Camera & Monitor are integrated with the Tag-Based system, this will provide greater confidence for the vehicle operators by making them aware of the personnel and property in the machinery blind zone. Cameras are mounted in the front and rear of the machinery, while the monitor is placed in the cab to provide clear vision and visual warnings. Extra cameras can be installed as well according to the site’s requirements.
